The Death World of Kassara

Mars

Kassara is a Death World in the Tanstar System, a hot and humid planet owned by the Dresden Corporation, a licensed manufacturer of a number of pharmaceutical products. The planet is covered primarily by water, with its’ proximity to the sun the environment is extremely humid from the evaporating seas which rise up and return to the planet’s surface in the form of a powerful storm or hurricane. There are hundreds of tiny islands spread across the one large ocean but the only land mass of any significance is the largest, the only one with any Imperial presence. It is just called Mainland and mostly jungle. The largest portion of the continent is an area within the perimeter of a ring of mountains, called the Rainy Basin, as its’ name implies it is a wet, hot mixture of jungle and marsh. There is a desert to the easternmost edge of the Mainland, called the Ash Wastes, the sun isn’t hindered by a mist here and the ground has been burned and cooked.
