Think Machines

Tiny -handheld computers, may be dedicated or contain additional slots for enhancements and networking upgrades. Most handheld Auspex Arrays are this size.

CPU: 10-40 (Int)
Data Ports: 1-6
I/O Ports: 1-2
Serial Ports: 1-2
Bandwidth: 10-100 Mp/Rnd

Small -desktop sized computer, most are dedicated, designed to monitor or operate a single system, parts from different systems are not interchangeable without specific training from the Adeptus Mechanicus.

CPU: 10-40 (Int) (Unnatural Intelligence x2)
Data Ports: 2-8
I/O Ports: 2-6
Serial Ports: 1-6
Bandwidth: 20-500 Mp/Rnd

Average -these are almost always dedicated systems, taller than a man they are capable of complex calculations and computations. These sytems can often be found in archives and libraries due to the vast amount of data a dedicated system can store.

CPU: 30-60 (Int) (Unnatural Intelligence x2)
Data Ports: 1-4
I/O Ports: 2-8
Serial Ports: 4-10
Bandwidth: 100-5000 Mp/Rnd

Hulking -Very rare outside of Forge Worlds, these massive systems are often 3 or more Average Think Machines linked and fused into one singular system.

CPU: 30-80 (Int) (Unnatural Intelligence x3)
Data Ports: 4-24
I/O Ports: 6-36
Serial Ports: 10-40
Bandwidth: 1000-1000000 Mp/Rnd

Massive -These are only found on Holy Terra, major Forge Worlds or hidden caches of STC data.

CPU: 10-90 (Int) (Unnatural Intelligence x5)
Data Ports: 1-1000
I/O Ports: 1-1000
Serial Ports: 1-1000
Bandwidth: 1000000+ Mp/Rnd

Data Files
Database -Database files are primarily used by Auspex Analyzation devices, lacking enough memory to store the information it is read directly from the file. If more databases are required then more data ports are required.

Program -Program files are executable programs that generally achieve some affect. ie; A worm program locates a sensitive file on demons from the Planetary Governors home system, an attack program is used to defeat a firewall protecting data.

Utility -Similar to a program, utilities are also executable programs that perform simple actions on your system. Where Programs are usually invasive in another system, Utilities are more "defensive" in nature.

Drivers -These are the ambiguous programs that facilitate communication between Integrated and Serial Devices. I/O devices have a generic set of code that allows any Pict Screen to be used or a keyboard or a Virtual Glove. They can be modified however to perform better, heretical in some eyes and not in others'.

General Components

Data Port -This is a universal port that allows a data chip to be installed and the contents either read or downloaded. Smaller devices or those lacking dedicated disk space often have a few Data Ports to accomodate for multiple data files.

Serial Port -This is another universal port that allows for one device to communicate with or control another. Linking an Auto Injector with an Auto Doc requires them both to connect through a Serial Port. Some models come standard as integrated components which does not require using a Serial Port.

Input/Ouput Ports -Similar to a serial port, the I/O allows periphreals to be used. A Pict Screen, Keyboard and Data Scribe are examples of devices pluggable into I/O ports.

CPU -This is the main center of information processing. The brain and heart of the system, this is where the Machine's Spirit is said to be found. Only Tech Priests are allowed to make a CPU, though very few remain that have that knowledge. Altering a CPU is considered a serious Tech Heresy and if caught by one of the Cult's Priests could lead to Servitortude.

Bandwidth -This is rarely used, only coming into play when calculating the total time an upload or download will take.
